Rev. Claude Black, W. J. Durham, Henry Muñoz, and Moses LeRoy Address Wooldridge Square Park

After the march, a large crowd assembled at Woolridge Square Park to hear speeches by Rev. Claude Black, W. J. Durham, Henry Muñoz, and Moses LeRoy. Each speechmaker pointed to the multiracial protest as evidence of the moment's remarkable unity across the color line as well as grouping together the importance that came with the Democratic Coalition and its conflict with the UPO. The UPO and the conservative African American professionals will ally with Governor Connally. Influential leader Moses LeRoy took the stage and addressed his take on the last decades of activism being in the trenches. | Creator: Austin American-Statesman | Date: 1960s | Source: Austin American-Statesman Photographic Morgue (AR.2014.039), Austin History Center, Austin Public Library, Texas, Image AS-63-42087-06a.
