A portrait of Harry F. Estill from the Houstonian newspaper

The front page of the Houstonian newspaper published September 21st, 1934 featured a portrait of Harry F. Estill and his heartfelt welcome speech to the incoming freshmen of the 1934-35 school year. Estill was a strict president with high expectations of his students, but he did not let that role impede him from building friendly rapport and lifelong relationships with the student body. Estill worked tirelessly to be a reliable resource and positive impact on the lives of his students. | Source: Vol. XXI No. 26. The Houstonian Volume 21.
