John Magruder returned from his exile in Mexico to enjoy a time of prosperity and fame as a lecturer across the United States. He died in Houston on February 19, 1871. His body was eventually moved to the Episcopal Cemetery (now part of the Old City Cemetery) in Galveston where is remains to this day. Download Original File
