C.) for a concert given by the Houston Symphony during its Golden Anniversary tour. Hogg was a nationally recognized patron of the arts. In 1960, President Dwight D. Eisenhower appointed her to help plan the National Culture Center (now the Kennedy Center) in Washington D. C.
