Ribbon-cutting ceremony

Attendees celebrate the new location of the Texas African American History Museum on W Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Tyler, Texas. Gloria Washington, Executive Director of the museum, and Stanley Cofer, President of the Empowerment Community Development Corporation, stand in the center, having just cut the ribbon. The new location, former Fire House number 4, is the third and current physical location of the Texas African American History Museum since it was established in 2016. The building was donated to the Empowerment Community Development by the City of Tyler in November of 2020 for the purpose of housing the museum. | Creator: Tyler Morning Telegraph | Date: November 2020 | Source: http://texasafricanamericanmuseum.org/?fbclid=IwAR1PUwLrtBkdRpZ213MZLck1LMmLedxsNA6wlxcSxZTXisr_eBsTuM7mYyo
