I had the great honor of interviewing Dr. James S. Olson. To name a few of his accomplishments, he is a historian and an academic and Pulitzer Prize-nominated author. Dr. Olson started cancer treatment at M.D. Anderson in the 1980's. As a result, he is able to give special insight on M.D. Anderson Cancer Center from both a patient and a historical researcher standpoint. He is the author of Making Cancer History: Disease and Discovery at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which served as the major, primary source for my research.
