Told to stay home when the POWs arrived, instead hundreds of Hearne locals lined the roadway to Camp Hearne to catch a glimpse of Hitler's finest. Still wearing the same bloodstained clothes they had surrendered in weeks before, the POWs marched to Camp Hearne.
