"Light" Poster

Graphic artist Lester Beall designed this poster in a series for the REA in 1937. Generally viewed as good examples of mid-20th century modern minimalist design, the posters have been exhibited at New York's Museum of Modern Art. The poster promotes electrification in a way that requires little reading comprehension since the target rural audience might have a lower literacy rate.
